Having wracked up numerous awards for best small ship and adventure cruise liner, the 148-passenger National Geographic Explorer is a state-of-the-art polar expedition ship. It offers intimate and educational cruises accompanied by expert naturalists, historians and undersea specialists, and is equipped with an onboard wellness spa and full-time doctor. All 81 cabins face the exterior of the ship, with private bathroom facilities, climate controls, desks and televisions in a variety of configurations. The vessel is fully stabilized, enabling her to navigate polar passages while guests remain comfortable on board.
